Does these pictures shows a clean city?

I don’t get it how they could mess up the whole neighbourhood. I get it that it’s their beliefs but to strewn the offerings all over like these??

Might as well these people live in the jungle. The least tgey could do is clean up the mess. Burn the offerings INSIDE the big burning bin.

What are rubbish bins for???

Eud Mubarak

To family, friends of real & cyber world, to every Muslims who knows us we want to wish you a very happy eid fitri! Forgive our sins that are intentionally or orherwise. May this Syawal brings lots of forgiveness,  happiness & prosperity to all.

SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI, MAAF ZAHIR & BATIN!

You are welcome to our humble abode this festive season. :)

Busy

Yes, I have been busy for the past weeks. With the upcoming Eud Fitri, comes along the ENDLESS spring cleaning!

Even with the endless cleaning of windows, fans, kitchen cabinets, baking cookies, we still found the time to go to Geylang & found a baju kurung for me. Couldn’t find a right pair for Daniel in the right size nor colour so we ende up going to Toko Warisan at Woodlands Ctr Rd the next day.
So now what we need is a pair of shoes for Daniel. Last year’s air is now a tad small for his evergrowing feet.

And waiting for Monday so we could call the electrician to fix the oven that keeps short-curcuiting the whole house.  And so we could finish baking our raya cookies & kuihs!

I till need to wash our new raya outfits & change the bedsheet. Don’t know if I should do it on Wednesday or Thursday.

Okay I think this is enough update for now. I gotta clear up the mess that are on the computer & study table!

All the bet to the rest of you who are doing the same things as me! ;)

YOG Singapore 2010

We watched the openinng ceremony, caught some games on tv, watched the closing ceremony & I even regretted not volunteering my time for the inaugural event.

And being Singaporeans, we have read complains too regarding the Games.

It is most saddening when I read tweets from youths giving sarcastic remarks about the YOG.

Sad to say that Singaporeans are still living in their little boxes. Do they realise what it means to have the very FIRST SINGAPORE YOUTH OLYMPIC GAMES?

FIRST. Without a first, there won’t be a second,  third and so on. This is a new beginning. A start.

SINGAPORE. A small island, a small country in South-East Asia. A country so small you won’t see it on the map if you don’t already know it exists. Our country. A country that has mantained its peacefulness, a country that has taken good care of its citizens. A small country with big dreams.

YOUTH. The young generation that would one day lead our country. Our hope. Our future. Without them, we are as good as the end.

OLYMPIC GAMES. The only inaugural games that’s been held respectably by athletes all over the world, be it young or old.

As a Singaporean I am truly honoured that our country has been given this once I’m a lifetime opportunity. It might be my only chance in my lifetime to witness an Olympic Games in my oen country.

This whole thing has even burm a desire in me, a dream to see my own kids participating in the future YOG. It migjt be the 4th, 5th or 6th YOG. Hehe.

I just need to find what kind of sports are they interested in.

But the point of this post is to make others realise how great the past 1 week plus has been for Singapore,  for the athletes, for their families, for their countries, for the volunteers, for everybody worldwide.

And I believe with the extinguishing of the first YOG couldron, it has also burn alive some aspirations in our young ones all over the world. :)

The YOG has bring youth athletes all around the world together, sharing tears of joy & pain. Forgetting the language barrier, the national borders, the colours of their skin. Did not matter which family, hometown or school they came from, what important was being a part of history, doing & giving their best.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL WHO WERE PART OF THE YOUTH OLYMPIC GAMES SINGAPORE 2010.

Overdue Birthday Post

I am so sorry for not updating about Daniel’s birthday. I had wanted to update about it but that time I had some difficulties with Facebook.

Why do I need Facebook to update this post? Here’s why…

This year we didn’t plan any celebration for his birthday because we want to have a combined party later this year with his little sister.

Nyai bought for him a Barney cake! And once again, HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY DANIEL PUTRA!
